This was a hidden gem on the outskirts of Firenze. Family bakery for almost 60 years. The simple foccata with cheese and arugula with ham had a nice crunch with a tasty flavor. Surprised me! We tried 2 other parties and went back for an apple pastry. I bit into it and went to heaven. I was so amazed and unprepared for the deliciousness that I forgot to take pictures of my own food. This is now our favorite bakery when we go to this area to meet our vendors. My husband went back 2 days later without me. We were so pleased. Danielle the baker and owner was shy and didn't want her photo taken at first. She is a baker (and a fine one) and is excellent in her craft. Her parents started this bakery almost 60 years ago. She was as nice as she could be with us. We were surprised to see the negative reviews about her. We thought her prices were reasonable (2 bottles of water, 2 savory pastries, 1 sweet pastry for a total of 9 euros).
She's shy and may not be jolly or smile at first but she smiles gently when given a chance. :)Purtroppo pizza margherita e con le patate sono troppo secche, la margherita ha anche bisogno di più pomodoro, va bene che sia biscottata ma così è troppo. Molto buona invece la schiacciata ripiena con salsiccia e stracchino (anche con cotto o nduja) sia fredda che riscaldata.

Unfortunately, the Margherita and potato pizzas are too dry; the Margherita also needs more tomato sauce. It's fine to have a toasted crust, but this is too much. The schiacciata stuffed with sausage and stracchino (or ham or nduja) is delicious, both cold and reheated.

Consigliatissimo sia per la qualità dei prodotti che la cordialità delle ragazze al banco, super disponibili e veramente gentili. Prezzi assolutamente competitivi. Servizio veloce ma comunque premuroso, veramente complimenti Piccola nota a parte per coloro che si son lamentati della fila: signori, se un posto offre qualità, bontà e cura dei clienti, è normale che sia sempre affollato!

La migliore schiacciata all'olio di Firenze. Un impasto leggerissimo per una delle storiche merende fiorentine. Impossibile resistere. Ottima anche la pizza al taglio e i vari tipi di pane.
